How Solar Pool Heating Works

In order to heat a pool or hot tub conventionally, water is pumped from the pool into a strainer and then a filter. It then flows into a water heating system which is usually powered by natural gas or electricity. This heating method requires a long time to heat a pool and is very costly.

With our solar pool heating system a pool or hot tub can be heated essentially for free and in half the time depending on weather conditions. Once the water is heated it is sent into the existing pool heating system. Since the water entering the heater is already hot, the existing water heating system will not start thus saving a lot of energy This will drastically reduce the cost of heating a pool or hot tub, not to mention the amount of greenhouse gas emissions.

There are two methods to installating our solar pool heating system. Closed-loop and open-loop. These methods have various different advantages for different circumstances such as space limitations, desired speed of heating and desired use of water heating.
